About the Department

The Basic Science Department comprising of departments like physics, chemistry & Mathematics, started in the year 2001. The department has well equipped physics and chemistry labs with all new modern equipments & State of art facilities. The department is having experienced and committed staff members who not only teaches the academics also helps the students in their curricular and Co-curricular activities.

The Department is having a forum in the name of “RLJIT Science Forum” which is a stage for the students to presents their skills and also to get interact with latest treads in the field of Science & Technology.

HOD's Profile

Prof. Thirumalesh, has obtained his Bachelors (BSc) and Master’s degree (MSc, Physics) from Bangalore University.

Prof. Thirumalesh started his teaching career in the year 2001, as Lecturer in Physics at RLJIT and is currently working as Associate Professor and Head, Allied Sciences. He has about 18 years of Teaching and 5 years of Research experience.

  • Prof. Thirumalesh was the Invited speaker and chief guest for the Science day celebration on 06/03/2020 at Govt. First Grade College and PG Center, Chinthamani, Kolar Dist., Bangalore North University and Presented a talk on “Shockwaves and its Applications”
  • Prof. Thirumalesh was the invited Speaker for a ‘One Day National level Webinar’ on “Shockwaves and its Applications” Organized by Department of Physics (UG & PG) Government First Grade College and PG Center, Chinthamani, Bangalore North University, on 8th June 2020.
